Prosthetist-Orthotist
Job Description
Collier Laurence O&P is seeking a dedicated Prosthetist-Orthotist to provide exceptional patient care while driving company growth and innovation. This CPO role entails direct patient care, managing physician relationships, and facilitating strategic collaboration with medical team members. As a CPO, your role is to strive for Intent, competency, and accountability in achieving superior outcomes by measuring the integrity and excellence of your patients’ results, ultimately benefiting the patient’s outcome. This expertise will empower the patient and support the CPO applicant’s personal, professional, and financial objectives, while also enhancing the company’s growth.
Performance Objectives
- Evaluate patients’ needs through physical assessments, medical histories, and physician prescriptions.
- Design, and fit custom orthotic and prosthetic devices.
- Oversee and adjust devices to ensure optimal fit, comfort, and function.
- Educate patients and caregivers on device use, care, and rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, device details, and follow-up care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, ethical practices, and company policies.
- Supervise and mentor orthotic/prosthetic assistants, technicians, and students when appropriate.
- Stay current with advancements in materials, technology, and treatment methodologies.
- Patient and physician follow up
- Refine Physician relationships
- Attend physician meetings
- Manage position KPI’s
- Participate in Practitioner meetings
- Receive monitorship from the CPO manager on prosthetic and orthotic cases
- Provide Hospital Call coverage shared with the team
Qualifications
- ABC or BOC certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics.
- Minimum 3 years of patient care experience, without a CPO Master’s degree.
- Or 1 year minimum with a Master’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics
- Expertise in multi-specialty orthotics and prosthetics, including trauma, pediatric care, scoliosis, and stroke rehabilitation.

Education and Experiences
- Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC)
- 3 years’ experience in Orthotics and Prosthetics providing direct patient care, preferred.
- Or 1 year minimum with a Master’s degree in Prosthetic and Orthotics
- A valid driver’s license and driving record
Physical Requirements
- Ability to transfer patients frequently throughout the course of a workday/shift;
- must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds of weight alone.
- Ability to walk, bend over stoop, stand, and reach constantly during a workday/shift.
- Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written directions.
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
- Ability to push wheeled equipment throughout the facility.
- Motor skills adequate for scheduling and preparing patients, equipment, for treatment.
- Ability to participate in sustained activities for many to California law
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range is $95,000 – $110,000 + bonus + benefits. This range varies based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location, and other variables.
